Job description

ManpowerGroup Greece on behalf of our client, a multinational home emergency repairs and improvements business company, is seeking for a successful candidate for the role of Financial Accountant based in Thessaloniki.

Objective: Reporting to the Finance and administration director and working closely also with the operations director, the Financial Accountant will be accountable for implementing the finance strategy and processes in Greece, defining criteria for revenue and expense recognition, analyzing and validating financial statements, and coordinating processes with third parties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls related to requests, complaints, inquiries, or administrative procedures.
  • Collaboration in defining criteria for revenue and expense recognition, Revenue Assurance (reconciliation or validation of revenues with planning): analysis and validation of contribution margin with Financial and Analytical Planning
  • Coordination of external audits, coordination of internal audits, and follow-up on audit points
  • SQL Finance:
    - Support and review of data migration
    - Collaboration in defining the new Accounting Standardization System - SNC
    - Change of current processes and coordination with other departments
  • Accounting consolidation, reporting, review and coordination of balance sheet reconciliations, adaptation to international accounting standards (IFRS)
  • Accounting integration of potential mergers and acquisitions
Requirements:
  • University degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting and finance departments, in small-medium-sized companies, implementing new procedures and creating efficiency in existing processes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of the entire accounting cycle
  • Clear and assertive communication.
  • Ability to follow procedures.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Demonstrates rigor, initiative, and strong ethical standards
  • Greek native
  • Fluent English, professional use, is required
