CAREER OPPORTUNITY – ACCOUNTANT

THE POSITION
Based in Athens, Greece, and reporting to the Accounting & Tax Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining general ledger entries and ensuring that ledger data is accurate and precise. Provide some insights into the financial performance of the areas of assigned of responsibilities.
The Accountant will oversee the accurate execution of daily accounting tasks, ensuring full adherence to established deadlines. The role requires a strong understanding of company policies and procedures, with the ability to identify normal and abnormal patterns when reviewing financial data. The Accountant ensures that all departments comply with internal processes and that all systems and data processing tools operate with built in integrity. Key duties include recording P&L transactions (A/P, transfers, collections, etc.), supporting the monthly management accounts closing process, and handling all month end related responsibilities. The role provides financial insights on restaurant P&L performance and collaborates closely with Store Managers. Additionally, the Accountant supports Admins in day to day tasks and coordinates with both Admins and Store Managers to ensure timely completion of month end activities. The position works closely with Restaurant Leaders and the Operations department, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes knowledge sharing and effective teamwork. Further responsibilities include preparing all necessary documentation for archiving and assisting in Statutory, Tax, and Internal Audits.

THE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-Related field and have at least 2–3 years of experience in a similar role. Familiarity with accounting software (such as Navision), strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and a good command of the English language are essential qualifications for this position.
