The Role
The Space Planner is responsible for ensuring our stores are visually appealing and drive sales through effective product placement. Responsible for utilizing the Integrated Category & Space Management Platform’s various modules and functionalities to access, analyze, and contribute to data-driven decisions that enhance product performance, improve store layouts, and ultimately drive sales. This role requires a keen eye for detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to effectively navigate and utilize a sophisticated software solution.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate creation and maintenance of store planograms
- Translating merchandising strategies into actionable visual layouts for our retail locations. This involves close collaboration with the Commercial Product Team to understand product assortments, promotional initiatives, and inventory considerations.
- Partner with Store Divisional representatives to gather feedback, address store-specific needs, and ensure planogram execution aligns with operational realities.
- Identify opportunities to optimize product placement, improve space efficiency, and enhance overall store productivity.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail merchandising, category management, space planning, or store operations, with a focus on, floorplan management, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Comfort navigating complex software systems, will be highly beneficial
- A solid understanding of retail principles, and the ability to effectively utilize technology to drive business results.
- Proficiency in using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, business intelligence software).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
