What you will do:
As a Senior Systems Engineer (Linux), you will be part of the Engineering team, responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems, networks, hardware, software, and infrastructure. You will support innovation, performance, availability, and security while ensuring systems and procedures adhere to organizational standards, enabling internal teams and clients to operate efficiently and securely.
More specifically, you will:
- Manage, configure, and optimize Linux-based systems, ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational reliability.
- Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions, including virtualization, clustering, storage, backup, disaster recovery (HA/DR), and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Administer and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, and secure connectivity across multi-site infrastructures.
- Deploy, manage, and support containerized workloads and Kubernetes environments, ensuring scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Optimize infrastructure performance, conduct proactive troubleshooting, implement security hardening measures, and ensure compliance with corporate and industry standards.
- Participate in the delivery of large-scale ICT projects, collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders while producing and maintaining technical documentation and operational procedures, when needed.
Requirements:
- A BSc / MSc degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in Linux administration and enterprise infrastructure environments
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, patch management, and security hardening
- Hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise Linux environments
- Experience with Kubernetes administration and containerized environments
- Strong background in virtualization technologies (VMware, RHV, or equivalent)
- Expertise in clustering, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network security
- Experience with network infrastructure vendors
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and related infrastructure services
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and hybrid infrastructure environments
- Experience with monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and infrastructure observability tools
- Strong understanding of information security principles, cybersecurity best practices, access control, encryption, and compliance requirements
- Experience participating in infrastructure deployment, migration, and ICT transformation projects
- Ability to translate business and technical requirements into scalable infrastructure solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members
- Excellent communication abilities in both Greek and English
Any of the following will be highly appreciated:
- Linux administration and infrastructure-related certifications
- Networking certifications
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience participating in large-scale ICT, telecommunications, government, or enterprise transformation projects

- Compensation package 4000-6000 gross per month, based on skills and experience
