ManpowerGroup, on behalf of our client, an R&D-driven software agency is seeking, is looking for a highly motivated Oracle DBA to join a dynamic and fast-growing team.

What will you do:
As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, security management, and ensuring high availability and reliability of database systems to support business applications.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Supporting the design, development, and maintenance of Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c)
- Assisting in defining and applying data architecture standards, including data modeling, indexing, and replication
- Monitoring database performance, tuning queries, and optimizing operations
- Managing backups, recovery procedures, and ensuring high availability of database systems
- Maintaining database security and complying with privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR)
- Collaborating with software and DevOps teams on database integration and deployment
- Supporting software architecture and backend integration activities
- Learning and applying best practices in database design and optimization under senior guidance
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines
- 3+ years of professional experience in database design and administration
- Ηands-on experience with Oracle databases
- Experience in SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and data modeling tools
- Experience in database migration, refactoring, and replication across environments
- Solid understanding of backup/recovery mechanisms, HA/DR architectures, and security controls
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
- Fluency in English and Greek (both written and spoken)
Any experience in any of the following will be highly appreciated
- Experience with DevOps pipelines, containerized environments, and automated deployment for database systems
- Experience with other DBs Postgres, MySQL, or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and BI environments
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS database services (RDS, Data Factory, etc.)
- Understanding of microservices and API-based integration from a data perspective
- Experience in EU-funded R&D or enterprise-scale projects
- Certification in Oracle Database Administration or Data Architecture
