DEMO S.A. Pharmaceutical Industry is an industrial and commercial organization currently establishing a Global Services Center in Hyderabad, India. This center will provide high-quality support services across multiple functions and capabilities to our headquarters in Greece and subsidiaries in Europe.
DEMO SA is currently looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager / In-Licensing and Contract Manufacturing. This position is based in Hyderabad. This role reports directly to the Group Director of Corporate Development.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential in-licensing and contract manufacturing opportunities that align with the company’s strategic goal and outcomes of landscape analysis. Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks related to in-licensing and contract manufacturing
- Identifies and evaluates potential Licensors/contract manufacturing partners (CMOs) for the company's products based on the pharmaceutical forms and processes involved.
- Lead and support contract negotiations with the selected Licensors/CMOs until contract execution.
- Travel onsite at Licensors/CMO sites, as required, for critical business activities.
- Monitors the delivery of services according to the contract and negotiates changes
- Function as a liaison between the Licensors/CMOs and the involved teams of the company (Tech-Transfer, QA, QC, Supply Chain, Operations/Logistics, etc) during the tech-transfer and launch phases of the products and facilitates problem resolution.
- Work closely with internal teams including RA, Quality, PV, R&D, Finance, Legal, Market Access, Finance, and Purchasing to ensure seamless integration of acquired services and assets and successful partnership execution.
Requirements
- Previous experience in BD&L operations for pharmaceutical products.
- At least 3-4 years of experience in a similar job position in the pharmaceutical industry with knowledge of the market in terms of developers and manufacturers of generics (both oral and parenteral forms) is highly desirable
- Good commercial understanding with experience in negotiations
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong organizational and presentation skills
- Self-motivation with ability to embrace new challenges
- Strong analytical and influencing skills
- Bachelor’s degreein Life Sciences; MBA or MSc in Finance will be considered as a plus
