Accounting and Tax Manager

Your role
Managing the full spectrum of accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensuring compliance with Greek tax legislation, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, Withholding Taxes, and other statutory requirements.
Preparing, reviewing, and submitting tax returns while ensuring timely and accurate compliance.
Leading the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and corporate reporting requirements.
Coordinating and supporting internal and external tax audits, providing required documentation and analysis.
Managing the year-end statutory audit process and liaising with external auditors.
Collaborating with McDonald's Corporation and internal stakeholders to ensure reporting accuracy and compliance with corporate standards.
Monitoring and enhancing internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational effectiveness.
Supporting the implementation of new financial systems, tools, and procedures.
Providing guidance and expertise on accounting, tax, and financial reporting matters.
Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial records and reporting.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
More than 3 years of experience in a similar Accounting and Tax Management role.
Strong experience in tax compliance, including VAT and corporate tax obligations.
Proven experience in financial reporting under IFRS.
Hands-on involvement in audit processes and statutory reporting requirements.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and Greek tax legislation.
Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Commercial awareness coupled with a proactive, can-do attitude.
Excellent command of both Greek and English, written and spoken.
